Podcasting Super-Success Stories
Now THAT'S "product placement!"
23 MILLION+ views for comically-risqué FrenchMaidTV.com.
Scantilly-clad actresses = $$$ from advertisers targeting Men 18-34.
Do the math. From the Podcast & New Media Expo:
Graperadio.com gets $1300 to reach 15,000 listeners
(CPM $86+). They're sold-out.
Mommycast.com did a 6-figure deal with Dixie Cups.
Convention Trifecta Your consultant speaks about podcasting at a radio convention...then, days later, about radio at a podcasting convention.
See-and-hear both (and Lurk-Cam clips) below. And read notes from 4-conventions-in-ONE-WEEK, in my November newsletter.

Podcasting For Dummies

Don't worry about the plumbing! Tools that let you concentrate on doing your show:
PodcastBlaster.com will write those nerdy RSS files for you. Then...
FeedBurner.com will do the handshake with iTunes, and other places you want to pop up.
Here's your studio-in-a-box, a device successful podcasters RAVE about. WAIT until you see this!
And here's something you've already seen. I bought one, after hearing rave reviews from Bill Thompson, whose stuff sounds GREAT.
I must have seen a couple dozen of these at the Portable Media Expo, and you see 'em on newscasts every night.
You'll spot 'em there, among the old-style microphones. It's the Olympus DS-2 Digital Voice Recorder, smaller than a microphone...yet it's the entire recorder. Sure, you can connect an external mic. But the audio quality I've experienced with the built-in microphones is GREAT. 64K flash memory will capture up to 22 hours of audio in LP mode, and CD-quality stereo sound at other speeds. Each of 5 file folders holds 199 files. It records in Windows Media format, includes DSS Player editing software, and its USB dock connects to Mac or PC for file transfers. It's got voice activation for hands-free recording; and will run up to 18 hours on 2 AAA batteries. And all of that measures only 1.48" x 4.8" x 0.69" (W x H x D).
